The HCELL ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of HCELL in various samples. HCELL is an alternative name for the human CD44 gene, which encodes the protein, CD44 molecule (Indian blood group). It has been mentioned that HCELL plays a role in cartilage development and cell adhesion, among other functions. Structurally, the CD44 protein is 742 amino acid residues in length and 81.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 19 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in fibroblasts and urine. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated, cleaved, sulfated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include CDW44, CSPG8, and ECM-III.
The detection range for different HCELL ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.12 ng/mL and as high as 4 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
