ABCA2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 2, which is encoded by the ABCA2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected lipid transporter that modulates cholesterol sequestration in the late endosome/lysosome by regulating the intracellular sphingolipid metabolism, in turn participates in cholesterol homeostasis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 2435 residues, a mass of 269.8 kDa, and is a member of the ABCA protein family. It is known to be localized in the endosome and lysosomes. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally methylated and glycosylated. The ABCA2 gene has been associated with the disease, Intellectual developmental disorder with poor growth and with or without seizures or ataxia. Other alias names for this target include IDPOGSA, ATP-binding cassette 2, ATP-binding cassette transporter 2, ATP-binding cassette, sub-family A (ABC1), member 2, and ABC2.
There are ABCA2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.313 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
