CABP4 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein calcium binding protein 4, which is encoded by the CABP4 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in normal synaptic function through regulation of Ca(2+) influx and neurotransmitter release in photoreceptor synaptic terminals and in auditory transmission. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 275 residues and a mass of 30.4 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in retina and in the inner hair cells (IHC) of the cochlea. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The CABP4 gene has been associated with the disease, Cone-rod synaptic disorder.
Some CABP4 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
