SERPINI1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein serpin family I member 1, which is encoded by the SERPINI1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a type of serine protease inhibitor that inhibits plasminogen activators and plasmin but not thrombin. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 410 residues, a mass of 46.4 kDa, and is a member of the Serpin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted and is notably expressed in the brain cortex and hippocampus pyramidal neurons. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The SERPINI1 gene has been associated with the disease, Encephalopathy. Other alias names for this target include HNS-S2, PI12, neuroserpin, PI-12, peptidase inhibitor 12, and HNS-S1.
The detection range for different SERPINI1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 62.5 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
