PPID ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein peptidylprolyl isomerase D, which is encoded by the PPID gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported PPIase that catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and may therefore assist protein folding. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 370 residues, a mass of 40.8 kDa, and is a member of the Cyclophilin-type PPIase protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other alias names for this target include CYPD, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D, 40 kDa peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D, PPIase D, cyclophilin 40, and CYP-40.
The detection range for different PPID ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 62.5 pg/mL and as high as 2000 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
