ASPN ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein asporin, which is encoded by the ASPN gene in humans. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 380 residues, a mass of 43.4 kDa, and is a member of the Small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) protein family. It is known to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted and is notably expressed in osteoarthritic articular cartilage, aorta, uterus. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The ASPN gene has been associated with the disease, Osteoarthritis. Other alias names for this target include PLAP-1, PLAP1, SLRR1C, asporin (LRR class 1), asporin proteoglycan, and OS3.
Some ASPN ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 34.37 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
