NEFL ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein neurofilament light chain, which is encoded by the NEFL gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in neuronal development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 543 residues, a mass of 61.5 kDa, and is a member of the Intermediate filament protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell projections and cytoplasm. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The NEFL gene has been associated with the disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Other alias names for this target include CMT2E, CMTDIG, NF-L, NF68, NFL, PPP1R110, neurofilament light polypeptide, and CMT1F.
The detection range for different NEFL ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 1 ng/L and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
