VASN ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein vasorin, which is encoded by the VASN gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to act as an inhibitor of TGF-beta signaling. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 673 residues and a mass of 71.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the membrane and is secreted and is reported be expressed at highest levels in aorta, at intermediate levels in kidney and placenta and at lowest levels in the brain, heart, liver, lung and skeletal muscle. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include protein slit-like 2 and slit-like 2.
Some VASN ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.625 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
