GRHL3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein grainyhead like transcription factor 3, which is encoded by the GRHL3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a transcription factor playing important roles in primary neurulation and in the differentiation of stratified epithelia of both ectodermal and endodermal origin (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 626 residues, a mass of 70.3 kDa, and is a member of the Grh/CP2 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be expressed in the brain, colon, pancreas, placenta and kidney. As many as 5 protein isoforms have been reported. The GRHL3 gene has been associated with the disease, Van der Woude syndrome. Other alias names for this target include sister of mammalian grainyhead, transcription factor CP2-like 4, transcription factor hSOM1, and grainyhead-like protein 3 homolog.
