DSE ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein dermatan sulfate epimerase, which is encoded by the DSE gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 958 residues, a mass of 109.8 kDa, and is a member of the Dermatan-sulfate isomerase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER, golgi, and cytoplasmic vesicles and is widely expressed across many tissue types. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. The DSE gene has been associated with the disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Other alias names for this target include DSEP, DSEPI, EDSMC2, SART-2, SART2, DS epimerase, chondroitin-glucuronate 5-epimerase, and DS-epi1.
The detection range for different DSE ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
