PLIN1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein perilipin 1, which is encoded by the PLIN1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 522 residues, a mass of 56 kDa, and is a member of the Perilipin protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is notably expressed in adipocytes from white adipose tissue. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The PLIN1 gene has been associated with the disease, Lipodystrophy. Other alias names for this target include PERI, PLIN, lipid droplet-associated protein, and FPLD4.
Some PLIN1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 10 ng/L and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
