SIGLEC8 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 8, which is encoded by the SIGLEC8 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to be an adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to red blood cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 499 residues, a mass of 54 kDa, and is a member of the SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane and is noted to be expressed specifically on red blood cells namely basophil, mast cells and eosinophils. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include SIGLEC8L, CDw329, SAF-2, sialoadhesin family member 2, and SAF2.
Some SIGLEC8 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 62.5 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
