Functionally, this protein is reported to inhibit the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, probably by recruiting CTNNB1 to recycling endosomes and hence preventing its translocation to the nucleus. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 956 residues, a mass of 106.6 kDa, and is a member of the Angiomotin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell junctions. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated. Other alias names for this target include angiomotin-like protein 1 and junction-enriched and associated protein.
