TEX101 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein testis expressed 101, which is encoded by the TEX101 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to play a role in in fertilization by controlling binding of sperm to zona pellucida and migration of spermatozoa into the oviduct (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 249 residues and a mass of 26.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, cell membrane, and is secreted and is notably expressed in testis and spermatogonia. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include TES101-reactive protein, cancer/testis antigen 131, cell surface receptor NYD-SP8, scleroderma-associated autoantigen, and testis-expressed protein 101.
The detection range for different TEX101 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 3.125 pg/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
