FOLR1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein folate receptor alpha, which is encoded by the FOLR1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to bind to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 257 residues, a mass of 29.8 kDa, and is a member of the Folate receptor protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, cell membrane, and is secreted and is notably expressed in tissues of epithelial origin. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved and glycosylated. The FOLR1 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency. Other alias names for this target include FOLR, FRalpha, NCFTD, FR-alpha, KB cells FBP, adult folate-binding protein, folate binding protein, and FBP.
There are FOLR1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 1.37 pg/mL and as high as 25 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
