Structurally, the HLA-DQA2 protein is described to be 255 amino acid residues in length and 28 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the ER, golgi, lysosomes, and cell membrane of the cell. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include DC-alpha and DX-ALPHA.

    We used this antibody to immunofluorescently label astrocytes in the mouse dorsal hippocampus following astrocyte-specific MOR knockdown. The signal was bright, highly specific, and compatible with multi-channel confocal imaging together with mCherry, DAPI, SOX9, Iba1, nitrotyrosine, and SOD1 markers.
