These ET2 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of ET2 in biological samples. ET2 is an alias of the human EDN2 gene, which encodes the protein, endothelin 2. Notably, ET2 is known to play a role in angiogenesis and receptor-mediated signaling pathways, among other functions. The EDN2 protein is described to be 178 amino acid residues in length and 20 kilodaltons in mass. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in the lung, but not in placental stem villi vessels or cultured placental villi smooth muscle cells. Other names for this target antigen include ET-2. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
