NAPSA ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein napsin A aspartic peptidase, which is encoded by the NAPSA gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is suspected to be involved in processing of pneumocyte surfactant precursors. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 420 residues, a mass of 45.4 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase A1 protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be highly expressed in adult lung (type II pneumocytes) and kidney and in fetal lung. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include Kdap, NAP1, NAPA, SNAPA, napsin-A, ASP4, TA01/TA02, and KAP.
The detection range for different NAPSA ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 2 ng/L and as high as 600 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
