The NRSF ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of NRSF in various samples. NRSF is an alternative name for the human REST gene, which encodes the protein, RE1 silencing transcription factor. It has been mentioned that NRSF plays a role in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other functions. Structurally, the REST protein is 1097 amino acid residues in length and 121.9 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in neurons of the prefrontal cortex, in hippocampal pyramidal neurons, dentate gyrus granule neurons and cerebellar Purkinje and granule neurons. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include DFNA27, GINGF5, and HGF5.
The detection range for different NRSF ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 2000 pg/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
