AOC2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein amine oxidase copper containing 2, which is encoded by the AOC2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to have a monoamine oxidase activity with substrate specificity for 2-phenylethylamine and tryptamine. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 756 residues, a mass of 83.7 kDa, and is a member of the Copper/topaquinone oxidase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in many tissues with much higher expression in retina. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include RAO, SSAO, retina-specific copper amine oxidase, amine oxidase, copper containing 2 (retina-specific), semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase, and DAO2.
Some AOC2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
