The RAC ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of RAC in various samples. RAC is an alternative name for the human AKT1 gene, which encodes the protein, AKT serine/threonine kinase 1. It has been mentioned that RAC plays a role in the apoptotic pathway and cell differentiation, among other functions. Structurally, the AKT1 protein is 480 amino acid residues in length and 55.7 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in prostate cancer and levels increase from the normal to the malignant state. This protein is known to be glycosylated, ubiquitinated, acetylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include AKT, AKT, and PKB.
There are RAC ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
