GPR56 is an alias of the human ADGRG1 gene, which encodes the protein, adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G1. Notably, GPR56 is known to play a role in GPCR signaling pathways and angiogenesis, among other functions. The ADGRG1 protein is 693 amino acid residues in length and 77.7 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 5 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and cleaved. Other names for this target antigen include BFPP and BPPR.
