Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in protein folding. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 467 residues, a mass of 53.5 kDa, and is a member of the EROs protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is reported to be highly expressed in the digestive tract, including the duodenum and lower digestive tract. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated.
