MDM2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein MDM2 proto-oncogene, which is encoded by the MDM2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and blood vessel development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 491 residues, a mass of 55.2 kDa, and is a member of the MDM2/MDM4 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 11 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The MDM2 gene has been associated with the disease, Lessel-Kubisch syndrome. Other alias names for this target include HDMX, LSKB, hdm2, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase Mdm2, MDM2 oncogene, E3 ubiquitin protein ligase, and ACTFS.
There are MDM2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
