PYCR2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 2, which is encoded by the PYCR2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a housekeeping enzyme that catalyzes the last step in proline biosynthesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 320 residues, a mass of 33.6 kDa, and is a member of the Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria and cytoplasm and is notably expressed in erythrocytes. The PYCR2 gene has been associated with the disease, Leukodystrophy. Other alias names for this target include P5CR2, P5C reductase 2, pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase family member 2, and HLD10.
Some PYCR2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
