These MT ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of MT in biological samples. MT is an alias of the human MCAT gene, which encodes the protein, malonyl-CoA-acyl carrier protein transacylase. The protein is known to catalyze the transfer of a malonyl moiety from malonyl-CoA to the free thiol group of the phosphopantetheine arm of the mitochondrial ACP protein (NDUFAB1). The MCAT protein is 390 amino acid residues in length and 43 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. Other names for this target antigen include FASN2C, MCT, and MCT1. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
