MTMR1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein myotubularin related protein 1, which is encoded by the MTMR1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a lipid phosphatase that has high specificity for phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and has no activity with phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate, phosphatidylinositol (4,5)-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5)-trisphosphate. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 665 residues, a mass of 74.7 kDa, and is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include phosphatidylinositol-3,5-bisphosphate 3-phosphatase and phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate phosphatase.
