SEPSECS ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein Sep (O-phosphoserine) tRNA:Sec (selenocysteine) tRNA synthase, which is encoded by the SEPSECS gene in humans. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 501 residues, a mass of 55.7 kDa, and is a member of the SepSecS protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is notably expressed in liver, pancreas, kidney and lung. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The SEPSECS gene has been associated with the disease, Pontocerebellar hypoplasia. Other alias names for this target include PCH2D, SLA, SLA-p35, SLA/LP, SecS, O-phosphoseryl-tRNA(Sec) selenium transferase, SLA/LP autoantigen, and LP.
The detection range for different SEPSECS ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
