The following Keratin 18 ELISA kits are useful research tools for the measurement of keratin 18 in biological samples. In humans this protein is encoded by the KRT18 gene. This protein is reported to be involved in uptake of thrombin-antithrombin complexes by hepatic cells (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 430 residues, a mass of 48.1 kDa, and is a member of the Intermediate filament protein family. Its subcellular location is known to be in the nucleus and cytoplasm. In addition, it is reported to be expressed in colon, placenta, liver and very weakly in exocervix. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Cirrhosis. This protein may also be known as CYK18, K18, keratin, type I cytoskeletal 18, cell proliferation-inducing gene 46 protein, cytokeratin 18, and CK-18.
Some Keratin 18 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 60 ng/mL. Use the search filters to narrow your search and click on the ELISA kits below for more detailed information, such as reactivity and assay sensitivity.
