NEU2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein neuraminidase 2, which is encoded by the NEU2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported exo-alpha-sialidase that catalyzes the hydrolytic cleavage of the terminal sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid, Neu5Ac) of a glycan moiety in the catabolism of glycolipids, glycoproteins and oligosacharides. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 380 residues, a mass of 42.3 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 33 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, fetal liver and embryonic carcinoma cell line NT2-D1. Other alias names for this target include sialidase-2, N-acetyl-alpha-neuraminidase 2, cytosolic sialidase, sialidase 2 (cytosolic sialidase), and SIAL2.
There are NEU2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.05 ng/mL and as high as 30 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
