ANCA ELISA kits are assays designed to detect antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA), which are autoantibodies produced against neutrophils and monocytes. These can be seen in patients with autoimmune disorders and glomerulonephritis, but are particularly prominent in patients with systemic vasculitis, also called ANCA associated vasculitis. ANCAs cause neutrophils to attack smaller blood vessels, causing inflammation. Two common ANCAs are those that target proteinase 3 (PR3) and myeloperoxidase (MPO).
