These KET ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of KET in biological samples. KET is an alias of the human TP63 gene, which encodes the protein, tumor protein p63. Notably, KET is known to play a role in the apoptotic pathway and chromatin remodeling, among other functions. The TP63 protein is 680 amino acid residues in length and 76.8 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 12 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be widely expressed, notably in heart, kidney, placenta, prostate, skeletal muscle, testis and thymus, although the precise isoform varies according to tissue type. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated and sumoylated. Other names for this target antigen include AIS, B(p51A), and B(p51B).
