Prickle Homolog 4 ELISA Kits

These Prickle Homolog 4 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring specific protein levels in biological samples. Prickle Homolog 4 is an alias of the human PRICKLE4 gene, which encodes the protein, prickle planar cell polarity protein 4. Notably, Prickle Homolog 4 is known to play a role in cytoskeleton organization and cardiac tissue development, among other functions. The PRICKLE4 protein is 344 amino acid residues in length and 37.6 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in a broad range of normal tissues as well as in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer and prostate cancer tissues. Excellent Astrocyte Labeling with Low Background in Mouse Hippocampus

We used this antibody to immunofluorescently label astrocytes in the mouse dorsal hippocampus following astrocyte-specific MOR knockdown. The signal was bright, highly specific, and compatible with multi-channel confocal imaging together with mCherry, DAPI, SOX9, Iba1, nitrotyrosine, and SOD1 markers. The antibody provided excellent visualization of astrocyte morphology and fine processes with minimal background.

We utilize a SOX9 antibody to measure SOX9 expression in mouse brain tissue (different brain regions of interest) to detect astrocyte reactivity together with other markers of astrocyte reactivity. SOX9 is highly expressed in mature astrocytes and can serve as a potential marker associated with astrocyte reactivity when its expression is elevated.
