galanin/GMAP prepropeptide ELISA Kits

The galanin/GMAP prepropeptide ELISA kits listed below utilize specific antibodies for the plate-based assay of galanin/GMAP prepropeptide in various samples. galanin/GMAP prepropeptide is another term for the GAL gene, which encodes the protein, galanin and GMAP prepropeptide in humans. It has been reported that galanin/GMAP prepropeptide plays a role in inflammatory response pathways and the regulation of apoptosis, among other functions. Structurally, the GAL protein is described to be 123 amino acid residues in length and 13.3 kilodaltons in mass. It is known to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include ETL8, GAL-GMAP, and GALN. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.

Recent Product Review

  • Effective PBMC Staining with an Optimized Santa Cruz Antibody

We were trying to validate GAPDH as an intracellular reference protein in PBMCs from healthy blood donors using flow cytometry. Had some initial trouble with the background, but sorted it out eventually. Overall, happy with the results.
  • Limited Performance Observed with Rabbit Polyclonal Unc93a Antibody

We created a construct for the overexpression of UNC93A and transiently transfected it into HEK293T cells. The FLAG-tagged UNC93A protein was easily detected with an anti-FLAG antibody. However, we were unable to identify a corresponding band using the UNC93A antibody, even at a dilution of 1:100. These results indicate that while the overexpression construct is successfully expressed, the antibody does not recognize UNC93A under the conditions used for Western blotting.
