Anti-HET antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HET is a known alias name of the protein scaffold attachment factor B, encoded by the SAFB gene in humans. This 915-amino acid residue protein is known to bind to scaffold/matrix attachment region (S/MAR) DNA and forms a molecular assembly point to allow the formation of a 'transcriptosomal' complex (consisting of SR proteins and RNA polymerase II) coupling transcription and RNA processing. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features sumoylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Indicated applications for HET antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence.
