Anti-HCD2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HCD2 is a known alias name of the protein hydroxysteroid 17-beta dehydrogenase 10, encoded by the HSD17B10 gene in humans. This 261-amino acid residue protein is known to be a mitochondrial dehydrogenase involved in pathways of fatty acid, branched-chain amino acid and steroid metabolism. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for HCD2 include 17b-HSD10, ABAD, and CAMR.
