Anti-DDX49 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DEAD-box helicase 49. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 483 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the DEAD box helicase protein family, DDX49 is known to be involved with rRNA processing. Synonyms for this target antigen include R27090_2, probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX49, DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 49, DEAD box protein 49, and Dbp8. DDX49 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DDX49 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations.
