Anti-SMIM5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein small integral membrane protein 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 77 amino acid residues and a mass of 8.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. SMIM5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are common applications for SMIM5 antibodies.
