Anti-C5AR2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein complement C5a receptor 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 337 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, C5AR2 is a known receptor for the chemotactic and inflammatory C3a, C4a and C5a anaphylatoxin peptides and also for their dearginated forms ASP/C3adesArg, C4adesArg and C5adesArg respectively. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GPF77, GPR77, C5a anaphylatoxin chemotactic receptor 2, C5a anaphylatoxin chemotactic receptor C5L2, G protein-coupled receptor 77, and C5L2. C5AR2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of C5AR2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
