Anti-AREL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein apoptosis resistant E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 823 amino acid residues and a mass of 94.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. AREL1 is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include KIAA0317, apoptosis-resistant HECT-type E3 ubiquitin transferase 1, fibrosis-inducing E3 ligase 1, and FIEL1. AREL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Arel1 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
