Anti-CENPB antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centromere protein B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 599 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. Post-translational modifications have been described, including methylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include centromere autoantigen B, centromere protein B, 80kDa, and major centromere autoantigen B. CENPB gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of CENPB antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
