Anti-CCDC47 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 47. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 483 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CCDC47 protein family, CCDC47 is a known component of the multi-pass translocon (MPT) complex that mediates insertion of multi-pass membrane proteins into the lipid bilayer of membranes. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include Calumin, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 47, and PAT complex subunit CCDC47. CCDC47 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CCDC47 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
