Anti-Activating transcription factor 6 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ATF6 in humans. The gene may also be known as ATF6A, ACHM7, cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-6 alpha, and cAMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-6 alpha. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 74.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
