Anti-PRPSAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase associated protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 356 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.4 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Ribose-phosphate pyrophosphokinase protein family, Prpsap1 is believed to play a negative regulatory role in 5-phosphoribose 1-diphosphate synthesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthase-associated protein 1, 39 kDa phosphoribosypyrophosphate synthase-associated protein, PRPP synthase-associated protein 1, and PAP39.
