Anti-PTEN induced kinase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PINK1 in humans. The gene may also be known as BRPK, PARK6, serine/threonine-protein kinase PINK1, mitochondrial, and PTEN induced putative kinase 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 62.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
