Anti-HOMER2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homer scaffold protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 354 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Homer protein family. The HOMER2 gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. Synonyms for this target antigen include CPD, DFNA68, VESL-2, homer protein homolog 2, cupidin, homer homolog 2, homer homolog 3, and ACPD. HOMER2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of HOMER2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
