Anti-Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CPT2 in humans. The gene may also be known as CPT1, CPTASE, IIAE4, carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 2, mitochondrial, and CPT II. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 73.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
