Anti-DDX18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DEAD-box helicase 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 670 amino acid residues and a mass of 75.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the DEAD box helicase protein family, DDX18 is a suspected RNA-dependent helicase. Synonyms for this target antigen include MrDb, ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX18, DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 18, DEAD box protein 18, DEAD/H (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp/His) box polypeptide 18 (Myc-regulated), and Has1. DDX18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of DDX18 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
