Anti-NDUFB5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit B5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 189 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Complex I NDUFB5 subunit protein family, NDUFB5 is reported to be an accessory subunit the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed not to be involved in catalysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include SGDH, NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] 1 beta subcomplex subunit 5, mitochondrial, NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 beta subcomplex, 5, 16kDa, NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase SGDH subunit, and CISGDH. A number of NDUFB5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
