Anti-PATJ antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PATJ crumbs cell polarity complex component. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1801 amino acid residues and a mass of 196.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in renal tubules. PATJ is reported to be a scaffolding protein that facilitates the localization of proteins to the cell membrane. Synonyms for this target antigen include INADL, InaD-like, hINADL, inaD-like protein, PALS1-associated tight junction protein, and Cipp. PATJ gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PATJ antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
